S5 • E16 Feb 24, 1976Will continues to follow the letter of the law, but Sam finds a way to alter the course of justice. Due to Sam thinking Will's police dog, Saxon, killed 2 sheep on Emmerdale Farm land 3 nights ago, Will wants to prove or disprove it. He takes Saxon to a sheep field, and Saxon does not attack any of the sheep. It turns out there is a second dog in the area, which Saxon chases, and Joe shoots the dog, thus vindicating Saxon. Will says he will pursue his case against Fred Farrar. Will also tells Joe that if the bullet he fired had hit Saxon, then he'd be in big trouble.
