Dawna Lee Heising of Eye on Entertainment interviewed Shriekfest founder Denise Gossett and other filmmakers at the opening night on September 29, 2011 at B52 in Hollywood. Shriekfest, the Los Angeles International Film Festival and Screenplay Competition, ran from September 29 through October 2, 2011 at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. Shriekfest screened almost 40 films and had 40 screenplay finalists and 9 original song finalists.
