A Captain arrives at the Fort and tells Parmenter that he has to send two of his men to undergo a survival test which they have to fend for themselves. And when he says who goes will get a long pass, O'Rourke volunteers himself and Agarn. But when Parmenter sees the Captain making a move on Jane, he decides to go himself taking O'Rourke's place. But he and Agarn find themselves starving, O'Rourke makes sure they find food.
