Karin Schlegel beats hundreds to win the starring role in a feature film with an up-and-coming New York City director. Before the movie begins shooting, she gets another big gig - an opportunity to model for a national print ad. She goes to the shoot - and vanishes. When her body turns up nude on top of an apartment building, the police investigation reveals a psychologically twisted killer and a nightmare that shakes the Big Apple to its core.
