His metropolitan experience nicely complements the local expertise of his new colleagues, who know the folks. He gradually acclimates while solving countless crimes with his partner, Eva van Dongen.

Among them is Wijnand de Jonge, morbid artist and serial killer, whom Romeo en Marion spot in a luxury car, but is lost by them and later Wolfs. Everyone assumes it must relate to alleged bribes from a contractor whom he helped to municipal contracts, which local reporter Goossens was attempting to expose, but he has an ulterior motive and was fired. When Romeo arrests school boy Mark Meeuwsen for minor drug dealing, the knave is convinced to identify as real dealer Lenny Bastiaans, who is linked to the alderman's haughty widow. She's also involved in murky schemes to assure custody of her grandson Robbie Rutten, son of half-wit Joost, and an adulterous affair. - Het Stuk

The play they were rehearsing for is very emotional and drugs were used to endues these emotions. The director seems to be most suspicious. E10KlemContaminated pills start appearing in Maastricht's nightlife. It ends fatally for one girl. After examining surveillance footage, the dealer is fortunately quickly caught, but he refuses to speak. Due to insufficient evidence, Bols has to let him go, after which Wolfs and Eva keep an eye on the boy. This soon leads them to the place where the pills are being produced. Mechels forces Wolfs to improve his relationship with Bols and go out to dinner together. When an attack is made on Bols during that dinner, it turns out he has been receiving threats for some time, most likely from the gang of jewel thieves Wolfs and Eva caught earlier. Fleur's situation in prison worsens daily, and the prison administration refuses to improve her situation. Wolfs tries everything, but even Mechels and Bols can't help him. He becomes increasingly frustrated, and Wolfs decides to take matters into his own hands. - Safe?
E11Safe?Despite everyone being on high alert due to the threats against Jens Bols, they can't prevent another attack on him. As Bols leaves his house that morning, his car is blown up. Miraculously, he survives the attack. Eva and Wolfs are assigned to protect him. However, Wolfs is completely distracted, considering his daughter's situation. When Wolfs is assigned to investigate a counterfeiter, he sees his opportunity. Meanwhile, Mechels instructs Eva to leave with Bols for a safe house in Amsterdam. Neither of them is eager for that, but given the danger, they accept it resignedly. In the safe house, Eva sees a special police report on TV, after which she rushes to reach Wolfs, who turns out to be preoccupied with entirely different matters.
