Natalie Savona (BBC Three's Freaky Eaters) presents this original new food series which highlights the best projects, produce and farming techniques local food groups have to offer. Across six episodes Natalie visits leading food projects shaking up the system, eats some delicious food along the way, and helps us understand how and where we can eat more real, sustainable produce. In each episode Natalie meets the new food rebels, helps her local projects and finally cooks a communal meal. From new ways of growing and sourcing food to new attitudes to healthy eating and sustainable consumption - these food rebels can inspire us all to make a change.

Dartington HallFor nearly nine decades the land and estate at Dartington Hall, Totnes, have been used for agricultural experimentation, research and the application of new processes, with a rich and sometimes controversial history in land-based research. Today, the estate comprises of a main tenancy, Old Parsonage Farm, which covers 480 acres and maintains a milking goat herd, small Jersey herd, beef cattle and sheep with sustainable, forward-thinking farming practices. Food Rebels meets Jon Perkin and his wife Lynne and new farmer 17 year olf Ross Birbeck, who are passionate about low carbon farming methods. We also meet LandWorks programme which takes offenders from Channings Wood Prison, Newton Abbot, as well as individuals on probation and helps them back into the world of work.
