E7Ruston KellyRuston Kelly came in on a calm, spring day to perform a beautiful acoustic set in our Fraser Performance Studio. Accompanied by his father, Tim "TK" Kelly on guitar, he played songs from his album Dying Star, and a new unrecorded song. Kelly began songwriting in his teens leading to a publishing deal with BMG Nashville in 2013. That year, he placed "Nashville Without You" with Tim McGraw, who recorded it for the album Two Lanes of Freedom. Kelly's earned critical acclaim and recognition through his subsequent solo releases, impressive Spotify streams, and marriage to country singer Kacey Musgraves. - The Wild Reeds
E8The Wild ReedsLos Angeles-based The Wild Reeds perform four new songs from their 2019 release Cheers, in WGBH's Fraser Performance Studio. Formed in 2010 by Sharon Silva, Kinsey Lee and Mackenzie Howe, The Wild Reeds blend together rich three-part harmonies, indie folk, and rock. Following a pair of self-produced folk-oriented releases, the three songwriters paired up with bassist Nick Phakpiseth and drummer Nick Jones expanding their sound.
