Episode 1A baby skeleton has been found in a box in a drying attic in Frederiksberg. Two of the property's residents, 92-year-old Tove Stæhr and Sanne Gottlieb, are trying to solve the mystery of what happened to the little child. A rarely told women's story about shame, sex outside of marriage and dead babies in the time before free abortion. Mrs. Stæhr believes that the child must have been placed in the attic in connection with a renovation of the property. Sanne finds out where exactly the child was hidden in the drying attic. Hansigne was ashamed of being pregnant without being married. She gave birth in secret - and hid the dead child in her chest of drawers. - Episode 2E2
Episode 2Mrs. Stæhr and Sanne have obtained a picture of the little child in the box. Mrs. Stæhr is convinced that it is a maid, but runs her head against a wall, as most of the people from that time are dead. Meanwhile, Sanne tries to narrow down the time of the crime. And then there are rumors that the property has housed a boarding house, where things that could not be talked about happened. - Episode 3E3
Episode 3Mrs. Stæhr and Sanne continue their quest to solve the mystery. Why were the initials AN written on the box the child was in? And could the mysterious boarding house have housed someone who could have been involved in the child's fate? They manage to track down a niece of the Vanting sisters and suddenly the resistance movement comes into the picture. - Episode 4E4
Episode 4Mrs. Stæhr and Sanne follow the trail of the resistance movement and find very interesting information about the property's past. They manage to track down the son of a deceased resistance fighter who lived there and who possesses a box with his father's belongings. Will the box contain the answer that Mrs. Stæhr and Sanne are looking for? And will they succeed in solving the mystery?
