Clemens Richter learns from the police that his son and friends have been temporarily arrested. At the station, he meets Erwin Becker, who is courting his son Peter about his supposed inheritance. Peter accepts the offer to return home. Meanwhile, Vera Richter has found a loyal friend in alcohol. She carries her problems on the back of her son Heiko. Even with the Köhlers, the house blessing is mercilessly skewed.
