Michael cannot get over the death of his beloved wife. He withdraws from everyone. Vera desperately tries to get close to him. When nothing helps, Clemens resorts to more drastic measures to pull him out of his depression. Jürgen adores Elke, which gets on André's nerves. At Alexandra's auction, Jürgen buys a cheap print with a picture of a woman who reminds him of Elke. Nobody suspects that this art print belongs to Gerner. The picture has been put up for auction by mistake and Gerner is desperate to get it back. Saskia doesn't like the fact that two of her best friends are avoiding each other. In an attempt to bring them closer together again, she unsuspectingly drives Peter straight into the arms of her rival Alexandra.
