Billy Hargis runs into Joe Stark on the trail and shares the chicken Joe stole for dinner. When Billy catches Joe about to sneak off in the night with Billy's horse, he teaches Joe a lesson with his fists. Meeting up with Billy later in Dodge, Joe decides to spread a rumor that Billy is a famous gunfighter, knowing that such a tale is sure to prompt someone in town to challenge Billy to draw his gun.
