This week, Happy Traveler travels to one of the most remote areas of Greece, Evros. Eftychis and Electra visit the beautiful Alexandroupolis with the emblematic lighthouse and walk its streets. They go to Feres with the historic church of Panagia Kosmosoteira, in the Delta of Evros where they see flamingos, in Dadia with the impressive virgin forest where they watch rare birds of prey, in Tychero with its picturesque lake, in Lefkimmi with the fossil forest, in Sou the long history of silk weaving, in Didymoteicho with its emblematic castle, in Orestiada with the impressive square and the impeccable road construction and in Kastanies with the river Arda that creates a scene of incomparable natural beauty. They reach Ormenio with the historic train station and explore the picturesque remote villages at the northern tip of our country.
