Hercules passes through Rhumba, a city-state which specializes in Greece's most prestigious ballroom dance contest. He takes pity on a local farm girl, Althea, a klutz whom nobody else would consider as a partner. Her own widower father forbids her to enter. The local magistrate resorts to trickery to try to help his own bitchy niece (Oena) win.
