Marie Gabler takes over the small police station in the tranquil Eifel village of Hengasch in the Liebernich district to get to grips with the disorganized crime between the Lower Rhine and the slate mountains. Much to the displeasure of his local colleagues, police superintendent Heino Fuß, trainee inspector Jennifer Dickel and the secret ruler of the village, Heike Schäffer.
