Police Commissioner Girwidz orders his entire team to donate blood, as the police should set a good example for the people of Wolfratshausen. However, a tragic accident occurs at the blood donation center: an elderly donor apparently lost so much blood that she died on the spot. To everyone's horror, it turns out that the deceased is Erna Rattlinger - Sabrina Rattlinger's aunt. But things get worse: the blood loss was intentional - making it murder. Now Hubert and Staller have a problem. Their friend Sabrina Rattlinger is suspected of murder, and as the sole heir, she would have a clear motive. But the aunt's bank account is empty, and the house was apparently sold shortly before her death - to Police Commissioner Girwidz through an intermediary. A nasty neighborly dispute? Hubert and Staller investigate the deceased's environment for suspects. Erna Rattlinger had a nasty neighborly dispute with Wolf Braun, but does that make him capable of murder? Hubert and Staller search for other people the elderly woman had been in contact with before her death and come across her former geriatric nurse, Tom Rippelt. He had cared for Ms. Rattlinger in a day care service a few months earlier and later even looked after her privately. Everything looks suspiciously like inheritance swindling, but Rippelt has absolutely nothing to prove. Nevertheless, Hubert and Staller have a bad feeling, and time is running out: Rippelt seems to have targeted a new victim.
