The police station is receiving outraged complaints: A naked jogger is causing trouble in Wolfratshausen, and the police are supposed to put a stop to it. During a turbulent chase, the athletic Adonis escapes, and Staller suddenly disappears into the ground. Staller, in turn, tried to take a shortcut through the cemetery and fell into an open grave - directly onto a corpse. When Hubert finally finds Staller and tries to help him out of the hole, he discovers a lifeless hand protruding from the earth next to Staller's feet. The dead man is Alfred Hofbauer, the community gravedigger. He was apparently surprised while working at night and sent into the grave with a powerful blow to the head. Hardly any useful evidence can be found at the crime scene. The officers only find a crushed cigarette pack and a note with the company logo of Bestattungen Heller. Undertaker Thomas Heller and his friendly secretary Luise Schmidt, however, are unable to help in the search for the perpetrator. According to Luise, Alfred was a kind-hearted man; no one had anything against him. But did Alfred really live up to his good reputation? It soon becomes clear that the confiscated cigarette pack is contraband. Hubert and Staller agree: There's a connection to the murder. But unfortunately, conclusive evidence is lacking. Fortunately, the investigators are able to track down a witness who saw the entire crime with his own eyes: Günther the crow. It was the dead man's pet and best friend. Even though crows are considered extremely intelligent, Hubert and Staller have to overcome some serious communication problems. Because the two are already busy enough with that, it's now Riedl's responsibility to take care of the athletically naked man.
