Shocked at first, Sun-woo soon listens to Ji-yeon’s side of the story. The car involved in the drunk hit-and-run did belong to Ji-yeon, but it was her friend who was behind the wheel. When the friend cowardly fled overseas, the world turned its anger toward Ji-yeon, mistaking her as the culprit.

Seeing a side of Ji-yeon that defies the public’s prejudice, Sun-woo begins to feel a reluctant sense of sympathy for her.
