Mitsuaki Iwago's World “Cats” Travelogue

Animal photographer Iwago Mitsuaki visited Inle Lake in Myanmar. There is a temple on the lake, where people live with the water. Perhaps because of the teachings of caring for animals, cats roam freely in the temple hall. When Iwago found out that the cat did not have a name, he became its godfather. The abundant water in the lake is used to grow melons and eggplants. Nyan patrols to protect the crops from rats. Fishing involves going out to sea to set nets, with the cat on board the boat. He also met cats at a workshop that makes folk crafts.
