James Charles is a self-made millionaire. Being known for the first male face of covergirl while gaining more than 19 million YouTube subscribers at one point, although he lost millions of subscribers throughout the first couple weeks of May 2019. Due to a video by fellow youtuber Tati Westbrook titled "bye sister" in which she accuses him of sexually assaulting straight men, after about a week of hate he snaps back, with a video titled "no more lies" in which he defends himself. After the video he gains some of his subscribers back. He now has 15 million subscribers. He has also collaborated with morphe a popular makeup brand creating a make up palette and brush set with the slogan "unleash your inner artist".
