When Gangadhar Rao arrives at the temple with the intention of punishing Samar Singh, a fight ensues between Samar Singh and him. However, Samar Singh only defends himself because he considers Manu his sister. The British capture Samar Singh deftly and replace him with one of their own swordsman disguised as the bandit. Gangadhar Rao fails to realise the British conspiracy. When Manu learns about the British treachery, she decides to rush to the temple.
