However, her signal is jammed by Ark, while Dr. Root sends a false signal to Johnny to lure him into a trap. Johnny unknowingly follows the bogus signal to a duplicate of the Satellite, where he is instantly struck by a powerful arctic ray, freezing him in place. Dr. Root then sends the trap Satellite hurtling through space, on a collision course with the sun.
