Iheya: Peaceful Winter Getaway

Approximately 35 kilometers in circumference Iheya has a population of about 1,100. Untouched by large-scale tourism development, the natural environment and people's lives have remained little changed. Our reporter takes a winter break on the remote island where he fishes for young octopus in the low tide at night, goes on a jungle and village run with locals and tourists, and makes tofu with seawater at a home inn…simple and unforgettable experiences.
