Season 1

The first very own television series of the Karvakuonot. The puppet dogs Ransu, Uncle Elmeri and Riku are mainly in the studio, playing and singing music, and providing playful news, general chat and lively performances. Anything goes.

    E1
    Episode 1The Karvakuonot are on the air. Ransu handles news reports, Elmeri the weather and poetry reading, and Riku talks about guide dogs. Of course, they all perform some music.

    Episode 2After some music and news by Riku, the episode turns into a cooking show. Ransu and Elmeri each have a juicy bone waiting, but Riku can't resist the temptation of the smell of a bone soup.

    Episode 3Ransu informs others that he has burnt his paw while ironing. Riku still provides the news and Ransu holds a quiz contest where everyone is a winner. Some singing and music closes the show.

    E4
    Episode 4Riku takes a bone that doesn't really belong to him, so the others advise him to apologize and return it. After some music, Ransu tells a fairy tale about a young hedgehog. Some more music is heard before the show ends.

    Episode 5Uncle Elmeri has a painful toothache, so Ransu and Riku have to take him to the dentist out of the studio. Next time, Elmeri should brush his teeth and share his problems with the others. There's still time for one music performance.

    Episode 6The boys decide to have some fun by playing a round of hide and seek. Elmeri knows many short rhymes for the game. For the rest of the episode, there are music, poetry and a surprise art project from waste materials.

    Episode 7Elmeri plans to "interview" Mr. Mount Everest, but the two dogs that appear look very much like Ransu and Riku. After some songs and music, it's still time to demonstrate how to be polite to others.

    Episode 8Uncle Elmeri gives some singing lessons to others, in true sailor style, and Riku has a public service announcement about vitamins. Elmeri explains what the horizon on the ocean is and starts telling a story about the old sailor.

    E9
    Episode 9Riku is fooling around during the opening of the show, so Ransu orders him to be quiet. Riku takes this a bit too seriously and tries, literally, to hold his breath. There are some music and the story of the old sailor continues.
  • Episode 10
    E10
    Episode 10Elmeri teaches others to play tag, leaving the studio in disorder. Ransu and Riku will have to clean up before the trio can play some music. Elmeri concludes his story about the old sailor. In the final chapter, the sailor returns home.

    Episode 11Riku wants to sing and march, but eventually settles for horn music. Elmeri notices that this time the tempo is more of a rock than the waltz. The theatre play called "Proposal", featuring a prince, a princess and a king closes the show.

    Episode 12It's Uncle Elmeri's birthday, so Ransu and Riku have prepared a surprise gift for him. There are songs and speeches. Elmeri has also some gifts for the boys. In the spring, they all head to the waters of Näsijärvi.

    Episode 13A guest appearance by a magician (who looks just like Riku) electrifies the show. A hat appears out of nowhere and then a magic bone. When a rabbit fails to materialize, Riku switches to singing while others accompany.

    Episode 14In the last episode, the Karvakuonot holds a panel discussion. Elmeri asks Ransu and Riku about the difference between asking nicely and politely, and being loud and rude. When all agree, it's time to play some horn music.
