It is a very busy night to Largo and staff. Simon, Marissa and the bizjet pilot Jerry are taken hostage by a Southeast Asian rebel leader, Ahmed Pangkor, who threatens to kill them if Largo does not secure the release of 17 political prisoners in Mendewi.
Michel is pushing Largo to close the business with Mendewi president, Surya, wuo is violent and corrupt, what makes Largo dislike the whole thing from the beggining.
Mr Toler, a former employee of Mendelsohn Steel company, bought by Group W some time earlier, baimes Sullivan by his father having killed himself after being dismissed by the new owners of the Mendelsohn Co., and to make Sullivan suffer as his father suffered, he puts a bomb on John.
