South African photographer Wim van den Heever was named "Wildlife Photographer of the Year" in 2025. His winning image shows a spotted hyena in the moonlight next to the ghostly ruins of an abandoned diamond mining town in Namibia. A rare image that shaped the development of wildlife photography.
