Ling Xi joins Shi San in Fuyun Hall as one of Jiu Chen's attendants. Ling Xi is thrilled to be the fated one that revived Jiu Chen, but Jiu Chen has his doubts. Wary that Ling Xi might be from the Demon Tribe, Jiu Chen commands Shi San to keep a close eye on Ling Xi. However, Jiu Chen is not the only one who suspects Ling Xi.
