Episode 1The filmmaker Jean-Stéphane Bron films his street. Christmas is nearing, Rue de l'Ale is festively lit up. At Elikan butcher's shop, the team is busy: Giovanni is preparing to hand over his business to his son Marco. As always, Maricica spends Christmas period on the streets.

Episode 2What's new in Rue de l'Ale? Antonio-José plays EuroMillions in the hope of winning the sum which will allow him to cover the 7000 kilometres separating him from his eldest daughter. In the heights of Lausanne, torrential rain has damaged Gilles' crops.

Episode 3In Rue de l'Ale, the renovation of Elikan butcher's shop is going well: Giovanni is a bit lost in the new-look shop which he no longer recognises. The date of Antonio-José's daughter's wedding in Santo Domingo is nearing. The gambler is temperamental because his luck seems to be turning.

Episode 4In Rue de l'Ale, Maricica, the beggar woman, is delighted. The bags of cement have arrived and she is going to be able to rebuild her house in Romania. At the Rovéréaz farm, the financial situation is not good. Gilles will need to reinvent himself and downscale his ambitions.
