In the taste test, the judges asked home cooks to identify the dominant flavor from a set of six food items that were handed out one by one. Anupama, Jaideep and Tejasvi won the challenge. The judges were impressed by Anupama's tasting skills and she won a prize for it. Rest had to face the elimination challenge. The judges gave them the ingredient they could not identify and asked them to create dishes using it. They had to complete the challenge within an hour. Manoj and Sourabh passed the challenge. Madavi was eliminated from the show.
