High school student Egor lives in a small northern town with his parents and little brother, who suffers from a severe form of cerebral palsy. Egor's dad is a policeman, his mom is an ambulance doctor. Both work themselves to the bone, just to be home less often - the situation is difficult. Egor is often left alone with his sick brother. One day, he falls asleep while bathing his little brother, and the latter dies of choking. This tragedy calls into question the existence of the family. It seems that things cannot get any worse. But the trials that the heroes will have to go through are just beginning.
