The rebel leader Adelita wants to send a strong message to Miguel Galindo, head of the drug cartel, so the rebels kidnap Miguel and Emily's son right out of the arms of his mother Emily. The rebels violently kill Emily's bodyguard, and in a widespread video taped message the rebels take responsibility for the kidnapping, as well as burning a dozen kilos of the drug cartels heroin.
