Both crises and opportunities arise in areas that were not even thought about a few years ago. Sounds up to date? But it's from yesterday! Few events have changed the lives of people in the western world as lastingly as the industrializations of the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. US researcher John Naisbitt called such upheavals in society as a whole "megatrends" back in 1982. And today? Which of the worries, fears and hopes from back then are still relevant for us today in times of digitization, artificial intelligence and global networking?
