Melodifestivalen

Season 58

Melodifestivalen (direct translation: The Melody Festival) is an annual music competition organised by Swedish public broadcaster Sveriges Television (SVT). The competition is a six part tour (5 heats + the final) with stops in cities across Sweden to determine the country's representative for the Eurovision Song Contest.

Melodifestivalen is also known informally as "Mello", or internationally as "Melfest".

Semi-final 1The first semi-final took place on the 2nd of February 2019 at the Scandinavium arena in Gothenburg. A total of 7,158,333 votes were cast throughout the show with a total of 573,040 SEK collected for Radiohjälpen.
