Rifa lives with the family of the Darus Sakinah Orphan Pesantren, which is simple and cozy. The sincerity and patience of Mr. Nur and Mrs. Sal make the orphanage feel comfortable. Rifa attends the most advanced high school in the city of Malang. Since grade 1, Rifa has always been top of the class. This made Arum dislike Rifa. During his time with Rifa, Arum was never first in his class, only when Rifa was in America. This caused a conflict when Rifa returned home to Malang after eight months in America and Europe. Arum asked Rifa to resit the class because she hadn't been in class for eight months.
