Talk show legend and military advocate Montel Williams, a veteran of both the Marine Corps and the Navy, leads the Makeover team's mission. This special series enlists conscientious designers, contractors, landscapers and other home improvement professionals to transform the homes and lives of military families across the country.

Stephen Lunt had been deployed to Afghanistan, where he was attacked and hit in the head by an insurgent. After a long recuperation, he's now married to Ashley, they are now the proud parents of a happy and healthy son. But they need help. Designing Spaces has called together a team of volunteers and sponsors to help the Lunt's start a new life with a Designing Spaces Military Makeover. In this episode, the final touches are completed in the renovation of their home. The Lunt family is in for a wonderful and emotional surprise when they move back into their house.
