Ambulance EMT Thomas Malfliet is reported missing by his wife, who also devotes her life to their daughter Klaartje, whose only hope of surgically curing her paralysis was recently squashed. After Thomas's car is found, his colleague Gust Tijsmans reveals Thomas was diagnosed terminal and not only stole pills from the hospital but also cash from the site of a Turkish mob shooting. The team discovers a complex pot involving Turks and his wife. Nick hesitates when Erik offers him a transfer to the undercover section.
