When wife and mother Janine Miller takes off from home one winter night, her husband immediately calls police. He says she's been drinking and shouldn't be on the road. But Officers don't locate her car that night and assume she made it home safely. It's not until a week later when Miller's mother calls police that they find out Janine never made it home that night. The investigation into her disappearance kicks off immediately; does her husband have something to do with her disappearance, was she the victim of a local serial rapist, or did she just take off on her own?
