John'Cockeye' Dunn terrorised the New York waterfront (inspiring the character of Johnny Friendly in the classic 1954 film 'On the Waterfront'). The history of the waterfront is a violent story of corruption, greed and murder and there was no man as ruthless as John Cockeye Dunn before finally meeting his end in the electric chair at Sing Sing.
