Moomin and Snorkmaiden pass the time on the beach looking for shells. Moomin digs up an old oil lamp. He rubs it, just like in the fairy tale about the genie. They are hugely surprised when smoke actually billows out of the lamp and a real genie appears before them. And just like in the fairy tale, he grants Snorkmaiden's wish for a pearl necklace. But instead of conjuring up a new one for her, he prefers to steal Mrs. Fillyfjonk's necklace. Stinky also takes an interest in the thieving genie. For him, he is the ideal partner for doing dirty deeds.
