When 16-year-old Ira Jakobi learns that she was conceived with the help of a sperm donor, she sets out to find her biological father. Shortly thereafter, she is found dead. Finn Kiesewetter and Lars Englen find a flyer for the reproductive health clinic at the crime scene. With the help of the company's IT technician, Jens Giersch, they are able to track down the biological father, Hannes Conrad, who quickly becomes the investigators' prime suspect. But Conrad denies knowing Ira and also wants to hide his sperm donation from his mentally ill wife, Melanie. At the same time, Lars is pursuing another lead: Ira's best friend Janne claims she had a secret boyfriend - but no one knows him. Who is this mysterious boyfriend? Did he kill her? Or did the biological father want to hide the truth at all costs?
