Moscow, early 1970's. The militia major Ivan Cherkasov and his team are investigating the brutal robberies of shops and collectors by bandits dressed in police uniform and coming to the scene of their crimes with a police car. During the robbery, criminals brutally shoot all witnesses from the machine guns.

E1Серия 1A gang robs and kills cash collectors. One of the victims, Igor Govorkov, was married to a worker of a department store that was robbed. Cherkasov and his team investigate and discover that his former wife Vera is the director of the store. The robbers are staying at Ilya Lublinskiy's country house. Sergey and Nyura, new members of the gang, are permitted to stay as they have done well in the recent operation. The new target are the cash collectors of the same store despite being given militia protection.
