Schemermeer is surrounded by a mysterious, whispering mist, from which a light lures people in, who don't find the way back. Vega realizes it's a 'bermadoe', who devours its victims. The elf creates a magic barrier to keep the mist outside the town-walls while the boys, as soon as a man is reported missing, keep the town-folk inside and must try with torches to locate and vanish the monster.
