

Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water

The series centers around Nadia, a young girl of unknown origins, and Jean, a young French inventor. Early in the story, the two protagonists are chased by Grandis Granva, Sanson, and Hanson, a group of jewel thieves who pursue Nadia for the blue jeweled pendant she possesses. After being rescued by Captain Nemo and his submarine, the Super Sea Cruiser Nautilus, the jewel thieves and the young protagonists join forces and participate in the struggle against the Neo-Atlantean forces, who seek to dominate the world. In the process, Nadia and Jean save the world from violent domination by the Neo-Atlantean forces led by Gargoyle, explore worldly mysteries and the powers of the blue pendant, uncover Nadia's hidden family ties, and ultimately discover the secret origins of Nadia.

Here, they learn from Nemo's pretty first officer, a young woman named Electra, that the vessel is in pursuit of a sinister enemy. After an unsuccessful attack against the deadly submarine Garfish, the Nautilus repairs Jean's sea plane, and the children take off for another adventure. - Infiltration of the Secret Base
E6Infiltration of the Secret BaseMarie and King are captured by the soldiers, so Jean and Nadia set off to a forbidding looking area to save them. Their rescue mission leads the pair to the base of the soldiers, who call themselves Neo-Atlantis, and their evil commander, Gargoyle, wants Nadia and her Blue Water at all costs. - The Tower of Babel
E7The Tower of BabelImprisoned by the wicked Gargoyle, Nadia is forced to admit that she gave her Blue Water to Jean before turning herself in (to save Marie and King from a horrible fate). As the search for Jean is on, the boy desperately tries to find her. Simultaneously, Grandis, Sanson, and Hanson, who have also been imprisoned by the soldiers, break out of their prison cell and attempt to escape. While Gargoyle tours Nadia around his base, he showcases Neo-Atlantis's secret weapon, a tower known as Babel with the power to obliterate an entire island! - Mission to Rescue Nadia
E8Mission to Rescue NadiaIn an unexpected turn of events, Jean joins forces with the Grandis gang to infiltrate the compound and rescue Nadia. They almost succeed - until Gargoyle's submarine, Garfish corners them at the intake point. Just when it all looks hopeless, the Nautilus rises from the ocean and attacks the Garfish, allowing the companions to make their escape. In the end, Gargoyle attempts to fight back using the Tower of Babel - but it demolishes his compound instead. The islanders are freed, but Gargoyle makes his getaway on a dirigible. - A Crowning Performance by the Gratan
E10A Crowning Performance by the GratanThe Nautilus pursues Gargoyle through the LeMar Straits until it runs into a dangerous trap. The submarine is surrounded on all sides by a field of mines, which can be triggered should the underwater current shifts or if the submarine dares to move. In a race against time, Grandis, Sanson, and Hanson propose to use their Gratan to take out three of the mines so that the Nautilus can safely escape from Gargoyle's trap. However, Sanson knocks Grandis out, fearing for her safety. He and Hanson set aboard the Gratan and begin their mission, but the tank begins to malfunction. Jean, who has sneaked aboard the tank, helps the pair as best as he can, but soon the Gratan's underwater camera shatters, leaving the Gratan blind. With Grandis communicating from the Nautilus bridge, the trio barely manages to succeed and save the submarine from a deadly fate. - New Recruits for the Nautilus
E11New Recruits for the NautilusJean, Nadia, and the others are appointed as apprentice crew members aboard the Nautilus, each assigned to a different position. Jean, Sanson, and Hanson are given lessons by Sonar Officer Eiko Villan about the Nautilus, Marie and King are schooled by Electra (much to the little girl's infuriating), while Grandis and Nadia work in the rather extraordinary kitchen. Grandis tries to impress Nemo by cooking a (rather ugly) platter of fish, but things don't go as she expects. Later, King snatches Grandis' own dinner and there is a wild chase which results with King ending up in the Nautilus's forbidden engine room. When Jean retrieves him, Nemo explains that the Nautilus is powered by a particle annihilation engine that could potentially take them up to the stars - but also destroy the world if used improperly. - The Valley of Dinicthys
E14The Valley of DinicthysAs the Nautilus resumes its pursuit of Gargoyle, both Marie and Nadia become seriously ill from a tropical fever that will claim their lives in two days time if they are not cured. The only hope for a cure is in the depths of Reef 64. Alarmed to learn that Nadia is in danger, Nemo decides to change course, much to Electra's infuriation. Accompanied by Nemo, Jean, Sanson, Hanson, and King set off into a dangerous trek through the underwater domain of Reef 64. They find the herb in a cave situation on the opposite side of a cliff face. On their way back, however, they are attacked by a monstrous eel called a "Dinicthys." Jean and King bravely attempt to draw the Dinicthys away from their position by throwing their diving suits' lights into a void. Thanks to help from Nemo, they succeed, and the girls are cured. - The Nautilus Faces Its Biggest Crisis
E15The Nautilus Faces Its Biggest CrisisCaptain Nemo's vessel falls into yet another deadly trap set by Gargoyle--one which involves the Garfish and a surprise attack from American battleships. The subsequent damage costs the lives of several sailors--including a friendly young engineer named Ensign Fait. Jean, who had become friends with Fait, is horrified and devastated to witness someone being killed by the technology he had so strongly idealized with. - The Mystery of the Lost Continent
E16The Mystery of the Lost ContinentThe victims of Gargoyle's latest attack are taken to the long-forgotten underworld of Atlantis to be buried. While there, Jean discovers that his father's ship was sunk by the Garfish. Nadia also learns that she must keep the Blue Water at all costs, no matter what pain or damage it may cause. - Jean's New Invention
E17Jean's New InventionJean feels like the Nautilus crew is treating him like a kid and becomes eager to grow up. However, Nemo refuses to make him a crew member, while Electra, and the Grandis gang discourage him even further. Jean is at a loss, until Nadia offers that she has interest in flying again - "only in a craft built by Jean." Inspired, Jean decides to build another aircraft. He aspires to do so all by himself without the help of any grown-ups - a task that he finds more difficult than he anticipated when he can't get an engine to work. Even so, he refuses help from Hanson, straining his friendship with the latter. Later, however, Jean has a change of heart and decides to ask Hanson for help on making the finest aircraft he can. The aircraft is completed, and Jean takes Nadia on a joyous flight above the clouds. In doing so, he manages to impress Nadia and reassure her that he will get her to Africa someday. - Electra the Traitor
E22Electra the TraitorAfter relocating Jean, Nadia, Marie, and King to his personal quarters (which he will later jettison from the doomed Nautilus), Nemo finds Electra holding a gun on him. In an extended flashback sequence, Electra reveals her tormented past, her complicated feelings for the captain... and a horrifying connection between Nadia and Nemo. - Lincoln Island
E24Lincoln IslandNow that they are settled into their new island home (which they dub "Lincoln Island", Jean uses his knowledge and technology to bring a little civilization. Nadia, on the other hand, wants to live with nature... only to discover that doing so is a lot harder than she ever dreamed of. - King, the Lonely Lion

E30Labyrinth in the EarthFour months afterward, the Gratan is nearly repaired, and soon our pals will set off for Africa. But first Jean and Nadia go off on a hike which leads them to a mysterious underground cavern that turns out to be more than they suspected. The exploration culminates when Nadia falls into a trance and vanishes behind a wall, leaving her clothes in Jean's arms! During all this, Ayerton tries to make his move on Grandis. - Farewell, Red Noah
E31Farewell, Red NoahTrapped inside a mysterious chamber, Nadia learns from a disembodied voice that their island home is actually a space satellite, Red Noah--and that she is the heir to the throne of Atlantis as well as not human! As they tour through its long forgotten ruins, our heroine finally reveals her darkest secrets... including who she is. E36The New NautilusGargoyle's battleships appear over Tartessos. To save Jean and the others, Nadia surrenders herself... but not before Jean swears to save her. Forced to flee from Gargoyle's battleships, our pals run into Captain Nemo and his crew, who have survived... and now operate a superpowerful battleship called the New Nautilus. - Emperor Neo
E37Emperor NeoGargoyle takes Nadia before the puppet leader of Neo-Atlantis, Emperor Neo, who reveals that he has a strong connection with both Nadia and Nemo. Eight time zones away, Nemo and the others plan to fight Gargoyle in a final duel. Throughout, both Jean and Nadia learn about the origins of the Atlanteans. - To the Sky
E38To the SkyThe New Nautilus and Gargoyle, now aboard Red Noah, face off in a spectacular duel of pyrotechnics, lasers, and, ultimately, wills. Midway through, both crafts head into outer space. After finally breaking in, Nemo, Jean, and Electra confront Gargoyle, who now has Nadia under his control.
