1994 NASCAR Winston Cup Series
The NASCAR Cup Series is the top series of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. The series began in 1949 as the Strictly Stock Division, from 1950 to 1970 was known as the Grand National Division, then NASCAR Winston Cup Series (1971–2003), then NASCAR Nextel Cup Series (2004–2007), followed by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (2008–2016) and finally the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (2017–2019). NASCAR subsequently moved to tiered sponsorship in 2020 named the NASCAR Cup Series.

Brickyard 400The 1994 Brickyard 400 was held on Saturday, August 6, 1994, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race marked the nineteenth race of the 1994 NASCAR Winston Cup Series season and the eighth race of the 1994 NASCAR Winston Transcontinental Series. It was the first NASCAR stock car race at the famous Speedway and the first race of any kind held at the track beside the Indianapolis 500 since the Harvest Classic in 1916. The race featured the largest crowd in NASCAR history, and a then NASCAR record purse of $3.2 million.
