2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
The NASCAR Cup Series is the top series of the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing. The series began in 1949 as the Strictly Stock Division, from 1950 to 1970 was known as the Grand National Division, then NASCAR Winston Cup Series (1971–2003), then NASCAR Nextel Cup Series (2004–2007), followed by NASCAR Sprint Cup Series (2008–2016) and finally the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (2017–2019). NASCAR subsequently moved to tiered sponsorship in 2020 named the NASCAR Cup Series.

Daytona 500The 2013 Daytona 500, the 55th running of the event, was held on February 24, 2013, at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida over 200 laps and 500 miles (800 km) on the 2.5-mile (4 km) asphalt tri-oval. It was the first race of the 2013 Sprint Cup season. Danica Patrick won the pole for the race, becoming the first woman to earn a pole position in NASCAR's highest division. She also achieved the best-ever finish by a woman at the Daytona 500, finishing 8th. Jimmie Johnson, driving for Hendrick Motorsports, won the race, making this his first win of the season and his second win in the "Great American Race" and his first since the 2006 race. Quicken Loans 400The 2013 Quicken Loans 400 was a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stock car race held on June 16, 2013, at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Michigan, United States. Contested over 200 laps on the two–mile (3.2 km) superspeedway, it was the fifteenth race of the 2013 Sprint Cup Series championship. Greg Biffle of Roush Fenway Racing won the race, his only win of the 2013 season and his 19th and final career Cup series win, while Kevin Harvick finished second. Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch, and Tony Stewart rounded out the top five.
