The FDA is investigating an iceberg lettuce supplier as the source of a parasite outbreak causing "explosive" diarrhea in people who contract the illness. Nationwide, nearly 7,000 people may have been sickened, with 1,645 of those cases confirmed and more than 5,100 still under investigation. Plus, smoke from Canadian wildfires is blanketing major cities across the U.S., obscuring iconic skylines and prompting air quality alerts. And raging flood waters rushed into cars and homes after a water main break today. Two men scrambled to get out of a sinkhole that opened up near Sunset Boulevard.
