"Beyond the Finish Line" - Meet a talented Nebraska athlete competing in the Special Olympics and for the first time in its history, the National Special Olympic games came to Nebraska. "Afghan Journey" - We revisit the story of two young Lincoln journalists who traveled to Afghanistan in 2005 on assignment from the Lincoln Journal Star. journey became a story of international friendship. "The Medicine of Art" - Art and medicine, two terms which are generally unrelated, are intricately linked for Scottish-born artist Mark Gilbert. We see his latest works at an art exhibit at Omaha's Bemis Center as part of a multi-year study involving portraiture. The pieces are a series of portraits of patients and caregivers that have a transformative impact on those involved. "Satisfying Surprises" - The phrase "life is full of surprises" isn't lost on Margaret Berry. During a typical morning commute to work she was struck by an oncoming truck. The accident nearly ended her life. During her recovery she decided to become an artist. Ten years after her full recovery, Margaret is on the leading edge of the encaustic art movement. It's hot wax that makes very cool art.
