Season 1
Katya Trapeznikova (Karina Andolenko), a simple woman with a difficult life, works as a waitress in the Lenfilm cafeteria. She admires the film stars who work at the legendary studio, but doesn't even dream of becoming friends with them. Katya survived her father's arrest and death in Stalin's camps and the death of her mother, who never recovered from the tragedy. One day, Katya's life takes a turn after meeting the promising actress Nadezhda Volgina (Nonna Grishaeva) and the assistant director of the film Nadya is acting in, Leonid Gorsky (Stanislav Bondarenko). The ambitious Gorsky introduces Ekaterina to his social circle, helps her become a department head, and... proposes marriage. After the wedding, Katya becomes part of the bohemian elite, but life constantly presents her with difficult challenges. Katya found her calling, but even then, something terrible happened: she was falsely accused and imprisoned. A new love helped her through all these trials, and Katya carried it with her for the rest of her life.
