Semyonov detains the famous swindler Finikov, long wanted for fraudulent real estate transactions. Arsenyev, with the help of old ties, is seeking Finikov to be released from custody on bail. Semenchuk hints to Semyonov that he can use "non-standard methods" for Finikov's imprisonment. The lawyer of the widow of a drug addict who died from a shot by Yulia begins to blackmail Semyonov - after all, Yulia shot with a Pavel's personal pistol. Semyonov pays the lawyer for withdrawing the claim, but he wants more.
