The rented apartment of the mistress of the assistant vice-governor Maxim Ignatiev is robbed. The money and jewelry from the safe were stolen, as well as the picture that Ignatiev kept from his girlfriend. Previously, he was engaged in organizing exhibitions and after a suspicious fire destroyed all the paintings, he tried to get money from an insurance company. Suddenly, Ignatiev comes to the police and admits that he took the money and jewelry to pay off his debts. Detectives go out to CCTV cameras on suspected of theft of a painting; during the arrest, a girl died in the fight against Semyonov.
