Former bank guard Chistyakov was put on the wanted list for robbery: he stole the contents of a bank cell. The criminal showed up in a regional town when he withdrew money on his bank card. Andrey sends Pasha for Chistyakov's detention. There, Pasha witnesses his arrest by local operatives. From them, Pasha learns that a million rubles reward has been announced for the capture of Chistyakov. The next day, an outfit arrives from St. Petersburg to transport Chistyakov to the northern capital. Pasha follows them in his car. Along the way, three unidentified men attack the convoy, kill the escort and capture Chistyakov and Pasha.
